Day 8 Wisconsin Dells

The terrain is changing again. Where just yesterday we drove through endless flat cornfields, today we see hills and much more greenery. More “rolling plains” if you will.

The Dells are quite neat. Also – this area has the largest concentration of Water Parks in the country. Who knew!? And also why? It seems like it’s in the middle of nowhere.

Nonetheless, we are currently parked at Great Wolf Lodge.

Penny has discovered a love for water slides. When last we visited a great wolf lodge, she didn’t meet the height requirement which was fine with her. She’d rather swim the lazy river. This time however, up she went and everytime there after we heard squeals and “AGAIN!” poor Tom was beat by the end of the night. Not many pictures from our day here. We played hard – slept harder.

Oh and we also took a minor water park break and headed over to Tommy Bartlett’s Water Ski Show! It was fun and the kids are excited to get behind a boat. But honestly, I’m not sure who enjoyed it more, the kids or Tom.

The start to day 9 and Tom was up at 5:15 to start laundry while G and I cuddled. Because he was up at 5:15, too (6:15 our time!).
Fortunately for Griffin, he went back to sleep and is still snoring. Unfortunately for Tom, he is still off doing laundry. And I get a few quiet minutes to update the blog!

The water park opens at 9 so we plan to swim for a half hour or so then check out and head to out next destination. Should be about a three hour drive. Which should be ok because G is napping now. Fingers crossed!
