Day 6 Children’s Museum of Indianapolis

Today we had a late start due to our late night (re: #jellystonerave). But we got to the Children’s Museum of Indianapolis shortly after 11. Quick PB&J lunch and into the Worlds Largest Children’s Museum.

We did not plan enough time. This museum had so many amazing exhibits we spent ALL DAY here. To start, there was a dinosaur climbing into the museum leading to a HUGE Dinosaur exhibit. The kids spent over 45 minutes here.

From there we visited the circus exhibit (where Tucker and Penny had their first virtual reality experience of a tight rope walk), a carousel, a mirror maze, and an amazing space exhibit complete with a planetarium show. We were there until about 4:30. Griffin was a champ, he made it until we left and crashed in the car for an hour – which really made for a rebellious bedtime.

With the late afternoon we opted to go out to eat vs cooking. We hit Barefoot Burger in Crawfordsville, Indiana. And it was exactly what we needed.

Then off to set up camp and swim. It made for late night and the close train horns really didn’t help for sleep. Alas, we survived and Tom and Griff were up and out for errands nice and early. Once they returned we packed up camp and hit the road by 9:15.

It timezone change day! Off to Illinois and gaining an hour. This should make tomorrow morning fun…
