Day two was a long travel day for the Burton Blaze (Tucker’s name for our pop up). We left Hindsdale just after 9am and made it to the campsite about 3pm. We stopped for groceries and then again for lunch along the way for our first of many PB&J meals. Everyone was happy to get a chance to stretch their legs.
Set up was quick and painless (for me, anyway). Tom already has streamlined the pop up process and we are all still working on finding our routine.
Shortly after we arrived and set up, we were off again – but this time to Seneca Lake State Park where they had a great splash pad that the kids enjoyed for hours. We’d hoped to swim in the lake, however, swimming was prohibited anywhere in the park! Crazy, right?
Here are some pictures of the kids at the park.
After our park adventure, we came back and set the kids up with some coloring from their travel binders (winning!) and prepped dinner. Tom can cook anything, anywhere, so we had a chicken stir-fry and it was delicious.
Griffin has been a champ. The big kids, too. Everyone is enjoying our time together.
Day three is just beginning and we are off on another #burtonadventure! Stay tuned, today is going to get wild.
Have fun guys!
