Day 15 brought lots of new sights.
Again, we took our time leaving town. Enjoyed a continental breakfast at our hotel and then bathed the kids and packed the car.
We first hit Walmart for food and necessities, then it was off to get bear spray from the outdoor camping store. (NOTE: Rent it from the park, we’d have saved a chunk of change had we known.) We also were due for an oil change so we did that and a car wash and then it was off to Yellowstone!
(Note: we took this photo on the last day as the first time we had someone take our pictures she instead took two awkward videos)
We drove through the Shoshone National Forest on the way and it was beautiful although Yellowstone takes the cake.
Set up camp at Grant Village and took a leisurely walk over at West Thumb Basin too see some thermal pools and mud pots. Tucker loved it – Penny was not thrilled. She did not want to be close to the boiling pools of water.
It was a quick walk, then it was back to camp for dinner. Tom made Chicken thighs with veggies and corn on the cob. The kids played tag with our neighbors who spoke a completely different language for over an hour. As Tom put it, they were speaking giggles.
S’mores and off to bed around 10. Vacation hours!
Nice pictures! Great to see what you all are doing. Looks like fun.
Another wonderful day – great photos!
