Day 14 Wyoming 2/8

Day 14 We stayed awhile at camp this morning cleaning out the camper, car, and doing laundry. The kids also were able to Facetime with their Yaya and some friends.

We left shortly after 11 and grabbed lunch at Taco Johns. Although delicious, the food took way too long to arrive so we wasted some prime Griffy sleep time.

Our day’s drive brought us through the Big Horn Mountains. Beautiful country, and our car worked hard to get through it. We stopped at Powder River Pass which stands at 9,666 ft and took some pictures. It was stunning.

Once through the mountain pass, we had another hour to go before we made it to Cody, Wyoming and the Cody Cowboy Village. We have our own cabin with nice comfortable beds and a hot shower. It’s a luxury!

We headed to the Cody Cattle Company for an all you can eat Chuck Wagon, music show, and a Rodeo. Food was ok but we really just enjoyed that we didn’t have to cook it or clean up. The live country music was certainly entertaining and the kids clapped and danced along, including Griffin.

The rodeo started at 8 and was a half mile walk. Griff fell asleep while we were there and it got chilly once the sun went down. The kids enjoyed the show, especially the horses. They even went down into the arena to chase calfs at one point!

We headed back to our hotel around 9:40pm to get the kids calmed down and to bed. It was a full night and day. I’m grateful for a warm bed and a quiet evening!
